Mocarsky To Exit Arbitron

COLUMBIA, MD -- May 26, 2009: Arbitron SVP/Press & Investor Relations Thom Mocarsky will leave the company as of the end of June. He has been with Arbitron since 1982.

In a memo to staff, President/CEO Michael Skarzynski praised Mocarsky, saying, "During Thom's more than 26 years at Arbitron, his hallmark has been his unique ability to translate complex information into customer-ready messages. He has had an integral leadership role in our client, press, and investor relations since he arrived and has shaped both the communication organization and approach into what they are today."

There has been extensive restructuring in the executive ranks at Arbitron since Skarzynski succeeded Steve Morris in January, with the exits of President/Technology, Research & Development Owen Charlebois and SVP/Ratings Services Jay Guyther, the move of President/Sales & Marketing Pierre Bouvard to EVP/Sales, and the addition of three new EVP-level execs, all reporting to Skarzyski: EVP/Chief Marketing Officer Alton Adams, EVP/Customer Solutions Robert Henrick, and EVP/Chief Strategy Officer & Business Development Officer Taher Behbehani. Additionally, in March Arbitron confirmed that it had cut about 10 percent of its staff as part of the realignment and restructuring.
