October 30, 2009: CBS Radio is taking Sports WFAN-AM/New York, Alternative KROQ/Los Angeles, Sports WBZ-FM/Boston, and Hot AC KSCF/San Diego into new markets, in the form of HD Radio subchannels.

WFAN is going on the air on HD3 channels for Classic Hits WOCL/Orlando, Top 40 WLLD/Tampa, and AC WEAT/West Palm Beach. KROQ is reaching into San Diego on the HD2 channel for KSCF, while KSCF comes to L.A. on the HD2 channel for Top 40 KAMP. WBZ comes into Hartford via Sports WTIC's HD3 channel.

"From its inception, CBS Radio has embraced HD Radio and aggressively moved to upgrade our stations with this forward-thinking technology," said CBS Radio VP/Programming Chris Oliviero. "Digital radio has afforded the industry a way to expand its audience and increase brand awareness, while giving listeners unmatched sound quality. We're thrilled to expose our best in class stations to like-minded audiences in cities across the county."
