Westwood One Ups Two To VP

November 2, 2009: Westwood One has promoted Mitch Glider to VP of engineering, overseeing broadcast and satellite uplink facilities nationwide, and Jeremy Schumacher to VP of broadcast information technology, overseeing all broadcast computer systems.

"Mitch has distinguished himself managing a series of high-profile and technically challenging projects for the company -- from news to sports to the recent MAX satellite system rollout - -each with unique engineering challenges," WW1 President/Network Gary Schonfeld said. "Jeremy has been a key team member in Westwood's recent development and deployment of our MAX systems and is at the forefront of the company's digital content delivery initiatives, helping to move the company's program content and commercial delivery systems dramatically forward."

Glider and Schumacher are based in New York and report to SVP/Broadcast Operations & Engineering Beth Robinson.

Looking for an "experienced media executive" to lead a sales planning group at a leading Radio Network. Responsibilities include: managing utilization of weekly sponsorship inventory across 150 markets, overall yield management strategy and execution, working with sales force of over 100 sales reps to formulate and negotiate ad proposals for local, regional and national sponsorships, coordination with Traffic Department on entry and scheduling, as well as formulation of other policies, practices and strategies to support and drive ad sales.
