Journal Broadcast Group CFO Kurtis To Retire

November 4, 2009: Journal Broadcast Group SVP/CFO Ron Kurtis will retire as of December 27, the company announced. Kurtis' announcement follows a similar announcement from Journal Broadcast Group CEO Doug Kiel, who will retire at the end of the year to start his own company.

The group is a division of Journal Communications, and Journal CEO Steven Smith will take those duties at Journal Broadcast after Kiel's departure.

"Ron has been an integral member of our leadership team and I have truly valued his knowledge of the industry and financial guidance as we have grown our broadcast group," Kiel said. "He leaves our company with our thanks and appreciation for a job well done and our hope that he will enjoy his retirement."
