(6/21/2000) ABC Promotes 3 Execs
Traug Keller has been promoted to president, ABC Radio Networks, it was announced today by John Hare, president of ABC Radio. Mr. Keller most recently served as executive vice president, Advertising Sales and Marketing, for ABC Radio Networks. The appointment is effective immediately, and he will report to Mr. Hare. Mr. Keller succeeds Lyn Andrews, who resigned to pursue other career opportunities.
The promotions of Darryl Brown to executive vice president and general manager, ABC Radio Networks, and Jennifer L. Purtan to senior vice president, Sales, ABC Radio Networks, also were announced by Mr. Hare. Both Mr. Brown and Ms. Purtan will report to Mr. Keller. Mr. Brown previously has been executive vice president, responsible for affiliate marketing, urban programming and 24-hour formats. He now assumes additional responsibilities in marketing, research and human resources. Ms. Purtan was vice president, Sales, ABC Radio Networks for the Midwest and Western regions. She now succeeds Mr. Keller in assuming revenue responsibilities for all sales offices, as well as sales planning and new business development.
In announcing these promotions, Mr. Hare said: "The fact that all three of these senior positions have been filled from the management ranks at ABC Radio Networks is indicative of the strength of our team and the outstanding individual contributions of Traug, Darryl and Jennifer. As each now takes on important new management responsibilities, ABC Radio Networks is well positioned for continued strong growth in the future."
